Website/Blog up and running ...

Yeah ... looks like we've got the website/blog up and running now ...

Our debut album, "the blackest gift" is listed in our Discography (only one album so far, dude ...)

We have a BIO!

We will have a contact section fully established soon, with email, etc.

LINKS to our fellow bands and other friends will be added soon ...

Don't panic, ... we'll get there soon.

We really got together as a band very quickly, managed to write some music and record our debut album very quickly (with the help of a friend who at this time wishes to remain anonymous - we honestly don't know why the guy didn't want any credit - maybe he'll explain soon), so this is all a bit new to us.  We've been in other bands before, but decided to pursue SUNset TZUnami as our sole project, because we really believe in it.

We may not become "Metallica-famous", but hopefully some recognition in the Central Massachusetts area will come our way, along with some gigs so we can crank this stuff out live.

Hope to see you at a local venue soon.

Contact

We're still very new, and in the process of getting our website/blog up and running, so contacting us will be a bit difficult.  Those of you who know us personally (friends, family, etc.), just get to us the usual ways, ya know?

We'll get an email address ready soon, and probably a Facebook page.

Until then, please hold tight.

Thanks,
Deac, Jaqc, Chris, Angelo

*the secret bonus track contains lyrical content based on Dr. Seuss' "Green Eggs & Ham".  Yeah, we didn't exactly get permission for this, but we thought it was such a cool idea.  Yeah, we think it rocks.

BIO / Band

SUNset TZUnami is:
Angelo Levi - guitars, vocals
Christopher Nix - bass, vocals
Deacon Morgan - synths, guitar, vocals
Jacqueline Blodgood - drums, percussion, synths

The origin of this band is simple, and probably much like many other bands. Four friends who are musicians are fans of similar genres of music, and want to create their own sound, based on those genres.

But these four really didn't make it easy on themselves. As fans of very extreme music in the metal realm, SUNset TZUnami chose to delve head first into the pit of despair known as drone-doom-metal, but did not want to limit their artistic goals. Instead, they chose to basically start at one end of the spectrum and add whatever-the-hell-they-felt-like-adding to the mix.

Sustained guitar and bass chords hover and loom as the drums plod and thunder their way, leading the charge for deep and resonant voices to enter the din and utter their lyrical protuberances amidst the drone of noise and wall of sound. Loud. Don't forget loud.

Really loud. SUNset TZUnami want you to swim in the miasma, and feel the deepening mush.

So dig in and dig deep.

Edit as of 08/28/2013 - so as you all now know - it's a "faux" biography for fictional members of the band.  It's really just me, Dimaension X.  As if you hadn't figured it out already anyway.

Debut Album - "the blackest gift" now available

We welcome you to the first (and very unstructured) post at the official website/blog of SUNset TZUnami.

We'd like to announce the availability of our debut album, "the blackest gift", ready for free download at:

http://archive.org/details/ST_theblackestgift

We've tried to capture our influences (Sunn O))), Cathedral, Esoteric, Jesu, Khanate, etc.) and combine it all into our own cohesive dark and doomy sound.  We have chosen not to down-tune our guitars to R-Flat, instead sticking to more normal guitar ranges (Drop-D is as low as we'll go, for now...).

We tried to keep it pretty slow and doomy, with an actual groove and some metal riffing here and there.

We'll be adding more as we can to the blog, and make it a bit better looking.  Meanwhile, go download the album, get it burned to CDs or copied to your MP3 players and blast it!

Thanks - more coming soon.
